Splitbill splits a restaurant bill by item — who ordered what — and apportions tax and tip accordingly. This policy explains how Splitbill handles your information. The short version: Splitbill has no servers and collects no data about you.
None. Splitbill has no backend, no analytics, no accounts, and no advertising SDKs. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data. There is no data for us to see, because nothing leaves your device to us.
Everything Splitbill creates stays on your device, under your control:
Uninstalling Splitbill, or clearing its data in Android settings, removes all of this.
When you use the share button to send a bill summary, Splitbill hands plain text to the Android share sheet and you choose where it goes (message, email, etc.). Splitbill itself does not send this summary anywhere.
Splitbill is fully offline and requests no special device permissions. It does not request network, camera, microphone, or location access.
Splitbill is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your data never leaves your device through Splitbill, so there is no transmission for us to secure. On-device storage is protected by Android's app sandbox.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
